Cheryl has over twenty five years’ experience in housing for women, families, and people with disabilities. She earned her Master of Arts in Public Administration from Hamline University, and she continues to broaden her educational experience through training and workshops concerning trauma awareness, homelessness, immigration, asylum, and global social justice. Cheryl has worked for the Metropolitan Council of the Twin Cities and Dakota County Community Development Agency. In August of 2013, Cheryl was a recipient the Virginia McKnight Binger Awards in Human Service. Cheryl has been the Director of Sarah's since 2010 and she has been on the staff since 2007.
Alondra is originally from Los Angeles, California, but has lived in Minnesota for most of her life. She enjoys taking walks and exploring the world. Being able to speak Spanish has helped her stay grounded in her heritage, as well as be able to communicate with her community. Alondra is a graduate of St. Catherine University with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health and a minor in Psychology. Alondra is incredibly passionate about social justice, racial equality, and immigration, especially when accessing healthcare and nutritional foods.
Jess has been living in Minneapolis since April 2009. She loves her city! She’s a part time student at Minneapolis College and hopes to graduate in 2022. She is studying Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and loves it. She has also studied music, art, retail merchandising, fashion history, philosophy, and more. She has a history of working with adults who have developmental disabilities and has many years of customer service experience. In her spare time, she enjoys playing music and performing at various venues around the Twin Cities and has taken her music on several national tours.
Megan grew up in Grand Rapids, MN. She moved to the twin cities when she was sixteen to go to Perpich Arts High School. She has lived in Minneapolis ever since. Her other job is house cleaning and she has been doing that for the past two years. She has also worked as a cashier, call center representative, photographer, trainer, and pet sitter. In her free time she is studying woodworking. She also enjoys taking pictures, drawing, knitting, and any type of crafting! She is happy to be at Sarah’s to help support the women who live there.
